Siren System Testing Planned Wednesday In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — If you hear sirens going off on Tuesday and Wednesday around 9 a.m., don't be alarmed. According to the Village, the sirens contractor, Braniff, will be doing its yearly checks on the siren system in Lemont.

A live test will be done on each siren, which will start the siren and then shut it down. The village said this is called a "5-second burp test."
