Plans are in the works to bring the Stanley Cup to Lemont, Mayor Brian Reaves said during Monday’s Village Board meeting.
The town has been abuzz with speculation of festivities celebrating their local hockey hero Scott Darling—hopefully with the Cup in tow—and Reaves said he has been in touch with Darling as recently as Monday afternoon. The 26-year-old goalie stopped in to Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria Sunday for a quick visit with staff and a show of thanks for the support from his hometown.
