Taste Of Lemont Returns Sept. 9

LEMONT, IL — The annual Taste of Lemont, held by the Lemont High School Educational Foundation, returns Sept. 9 from 5 to 11 p.m.

"Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont" is held near the Metra lot in downtown Lemont, and features live music and food and beverage from the Lemont community.

Tickets are on sale now and are $10 if purchased in advance ($15 in person at the door). Admission is free for ages 14 and under, and also free for Lemont High School students with a valid student ID. Tickets may be purchased online.

The Taste of Lemont is the LHSEF’s most important annual fundraiser, and it again will be open to all ages, according to a release from the school. The Taste of Lemont has drawn thousands of attendees for several years.

Food tickets are purchased on-site, and redeemed with vendors. Each restaurant will have multiple options on its menu. Participating food and beverage vendors will be announced in advance of the event, the school said in a release.

The Taste of Lemont will also feature live music from the Lemont High School Marching Band, Joe Fascetta, and headliner Shout Out, as well as a “Split the Pot” fundraiser.

Individuals who do not wish to purchase tickets online may do so in person, and should call 630- 243-3280.

The LHS Educational Foundation has awarded more than $540,000 in grants to aid Lemont High School’s students, faculty and staff since 2007, as well as more than $125,000 to help make the CITGO Innovation Academy a reality, the school said.

Proceeds from “Food for Thought” benefit the LHSEF, which funds and supports programs and opportunities that aid students’ growth, both academically and as citizens of the Lemont community.
