Township Trustee Resigns, Board Taking Applications
Lemont Township Trustee Gregory Gilbertson has resigned from the township board effective May 13.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township Trustee Gregory Gilbertson has resigned from the township board effective May 13. The township said Gilbertson and his wife Colette will be relocating to Indiana.
Gilbertson was first elected as the township tax collector in April 2013, and left the board when the tax collector position was eliminated in all Cook County townships. When former trustee Doug Wright resigned, Gilbertson was appointed to the position, the township said.
Gilbertson has also served as president of the Equestrian Estates Homeowners Association, according to the township.

The township board will be appointing a new trustee to serve out the remainder of the term through April 2021. Those interested can submit a letter of interest to Township Supervisor Steven Rosendahl, Lemont Township, 1115 Warner Ave., Lemont, IL, or by email to supervisor@lemonttownship.org.
