USA Eagles to battle Australia Wallabies at Soldier Field Saturday, in Rugby World Cup warm up Match.
For the second time in 10 months, the USA Eagles will take on a Tier 1 and top 5 in World Rankings, Rugby Nation from Southern Hemisphere
The home of the Chicago Bears will be transformed after tonight’s last preseason game in to a match ready field for Saturday’s Rugby World Cup clash between USA Eagles and the Australia Wallabies.
This will be the second match in a calendar year on the shores of Lake Michigan, having played to a sold out Soldier Field on November 1 vs. New Zealand.
The USA Rugby team has been in camp since July 10 leading up to their last World Cup warm up match. They head over to England for their first match vs. Samoa on September 20th. “After all the games leading up to the world cup, the team is focused in the right direction and has had ample time to get our systems in place,” mentioned Blaine Scully, Vice Captain and Wing for the USA Eagles.

Chris Wyles Captain and Fullback stated that the winner of the Samoa match has a great shot of advancing to the cup round.
The Eagles will be playing in Pool C and will have matches on 9/20 vs Samoa, 9/27 vs Scotland, 10/7 vs South Africa and 10/11 vs Japan.

The Eagles have the day off today, but will have a Captains Run tomorrow leading up to Match this Saturday at 6:30 at Soldier Field. Match will air live on NBCSN.
