Village Will Extend Holiday Light Display In Downtown Lemont
The Village Board approved a proposal from Artistic Holiday Designs for a one-year lease of $19,999.93 for the additional decorations.
LEMONT, IL — After the success of last year's holiday lights in downtown Lemont, the Village has approved a proposal from Artistic Holiday Designs to add to the display.
The holiday light display in Lemont started in 2018, when just a grassy area off Main Street was decorated. In 2019, the light display was expanded to include some downtown businesses. Now, this year, a "candy cane lane" will be added.
According to board documents from the Sept. 28 meeting, the display will now extend to the area of Front Street along the canal path, and will connect the west of Main Street from Stephen Street with additional light pole lights.
