Voters Will Have Final Say in Proposed Lemont Library Remodel

Do you approve of the library district's plans?

A proposed $2.8 million in renovations to the Lemont Public Library will be in the hands of voters Tuesday.

With voters’ approval, the library district would issue general obligation bonds to fund the project.

The plans include reconfiguring the addition of space near the front of the building, in addition to reconfiguring current space to allow for more quiet reading areas. Plans also include updating electrical and data systems, roof replacement, parking lot repairs and carpet replacement.
