The Dads’ Club announced the winners of the John Hosty “Crusader” Award at the annual St. Patrick’s Dinner on February 12th. Mr. Hosty was a past president of the Dads” Club and the Alumni Dads’ as well as a member of the Brother Rice Hall of Fame. The award recognizes Mr. Hosty’s commitment to Brother Rice by recognizing the commitment of 5 members of the junior class.
This year’s nominees were Marcus Aubin, Anthony DePatie, Patrick Hosty, Timothy Papiernik, and Spencer Scott. Each of the students was interviewed by the award committee, and following a difficult evening of deliberation, the decision was made to give each of the candidates $700 toward their tuition for senior year. Congratulations to all of our candidates, and we wish them good luck in the future.
