1 Critically Injured In Beach Park Crash

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 22-year-old North Chicago is in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash in Beach Park on Saturday night, authorities said. The collision occurred when a Chevrolet Impala, driven by the North Chicago man, was headed south on Sheridan Road at Mawman Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. and crossed into the northbound lanes of Sheridan Road, hitting a northbound Nissan Rogue head-on.

A 37-year-old Waukegan man was driving the Rogue at the time of the collision. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investitations Unit.
