LAKE COUNTY, IL – A 45-year-old Lake County man is dead after he was struck by a truck while walking on a roadway in Beach Park on Sunday night, authorities said. Novotise A. Robinson, of Zion, was walking in the northbound lanes of Lewis Avenue at Richard Place at 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a blue Toyota Tacoma, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The Toyota was headed north on Lewis Avenue in the right lane at the time of the collision.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
