1 Dead In Route 41 Crash

NORTH CHICAGO, IL — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Route 41 in North Chicago, authorities said. The collision happened at about 8:30 a.m. after a car headed south on Route 41 went off the road near Route 137 and into a ditch.

The driver, and sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the North Chicago Police Department. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and the identity of the driver is not yet being released.
