$1,300 in Cash Stolen from Car in Parking Garage: Police
A Libertyville teen has been arrested in connection with the theft.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL - Police arrested an 18-year-old Libertyville man last week after he allegedly stole $1,300 in cash from a car parked in a basement garage at a conominium complex in Libertyville, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.
Christopher J. Slater, of 100 Red Top Drive, Unit 302, has been charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia following the theft at the condo complex where he lived. Police were called to the complex on May 3 after a resident said $1,300 called to report $1,300 was missing from his vehicle, according to the polcie report.
Another resident from the building said they saw Slater in the vehicle and then saw him run from the garage, police said.

Slater was located in a wooded area a short distance from the condo complex and the $1,300 was recovered. Slater was arrested, processed and then transported to the Lake County Courthouse where taken to the Lake County Jail.
He is charged with theft, burglary and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.
