2 Found Dead, Infant Found Alive, In Libertyville Motel Room

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Two people were found dead in a motel room in Libertyville Saturday morning, while an infant was found alive and unharmed in the same room, authorities said.
The deaths appeared to be drug-related, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.
Authorities responded to the Motel 6, 1809 N. Milwaukee Avenue, at about 11:08 a.m. Saturday and found the bodies of the man and woman, both in their 30s, in the hotel room. The infant, who appeared to be unharmed, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and is now in the care of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

The deaths remain under investigation. The identities of the man and woman will be released once their families have been notified, police said.
