2 Teen Girls Shot in Waukegan
Both girls, one who is from Gurnee and the other who lives in Waukegan, have been treated and released.
WAUKEGAN, IL -- Two teenage girls were shot in a residential neighborhood in Waukegan Thursday evening, authorities said. The Daily Herald is reporting the incident occurred at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Prescott Street. Both girls were found wounded in the street and taken to a hospital where they were treated and released.
The incident was isolated and stemmed from an argument, police said. One of the girls is from Gurnee and the other lives in Waukegan.
The shooting remains under investigation.
