3 Spotted Walking Away From Stolen Car Arrested: Police
The group was headed toward a car dealership in Libertyville when police say they took them into custody.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Three people faces charges after police spotted them getting out of a stolen car, which they left stopped in traffic with its hazard lights on.
The trio was headed toward a car dealership when a Libertyville Police Department officer found the vehicle stopped in traffic on West Golf Road near Milwaukee Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 2.
Eric Martinez, 31, Patrick Castellanos, 28, and Cherie Bolin, 24, now face criminal trespassing to a vehicle charges in connection with the incident. Police could not locate a fourth person spotted walking away from the stolen vehicle, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.

When authorities searched Castellanos they found a plastic bag with a drug that looked like marijuana and several pills, which they determined to be controlled substances, police said. Castellanos, of the 400 block of Gillett Avenue in Waukegan, faces additional charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both Martinez, of the 600 block of McAlister Ave. in Waukegan, and Bolin, of the 3300 block of Eric Boulevard in Park City, were released after signing a personal recognizance bond. They are next expected in court on Nov. 19.

Catellanos' bail has been set at $25,000, and he was transported to the Lake County Jail.
