Alcohol-Fueled Arrests Made in Libertyville: Blotter
The Libertyville Police Department responded to various reports involving intoxicated individuals in town in recent weeks.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Alcohol was a factor in various arrests made in Libertyville in recent weeks. The Libertyville Police Department shared details regarding these arrests in its arrest blotters.
- At 2:51 a.m. on September 14, officers were called to 1330 N. Milwaukee Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Police arrived at the scene and spoke with Keith Ringier, 32. While investigating the situation, officers determined Ringier, of the 4400 block of Sheffield Court in Libertyville, was the person causing the disturbance, according to a police report. Ringier was intoxicated, was not cooperating with police and was taken into custody, authorities said. He was transported to the Libertyville Police Department where he was processed and released on a $164 bond. He was cited for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstructing a peace officer.
- Police pulled over a motorcycle for speeding in the area of West Winchester Road and U.S. Highway 45 at 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 19. The motorcyclist, Wilson E. Ennis, III, 41, "exhibited multiple indicators of alcohol intoxication," according to the police report. He was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests but refused. Ennis, of the 32400 block of North Rushmore Avenue in McHenry, was placed under arrest and transported to the Libertyville Police Department where he was processed and cited. He was released after posting his driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. He is charged with driving under the influence and is next expected in court on Oct. 11.
- Libertyville police pulled over a vehicle that did not have its headlights on and was drifting into oncoming lanes of traffic at 1:42 a.m. on Sept. 28. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Second Street and North Avenue and police identified the driver as Natalie Spilman, 20, according to the police report. Spilman exhibited several "indicators of alcohol intoxication and was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed," authorities said. Spilman, of the 29600 block of North Waukegan Road in Lake Bluff, was placed under arrest and transported to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed and cited for driving under the influence BAC .08 or more, driving under the influence, improper lane usage and improper lighting. Spilman was released after posting her driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with a pending court date of Oct. 25.
