The LHS Varsity Poms squad took 1st place in the Open Poms 3A category Saturday, Feb. 18 at Victor J. Andrew High School, Tinley Park, overcoming a competition season frought with injuries and illnesses.
The squad also received its second bid to compete in the TeamDance Illinois state championship next month, bringing both open poms "Detective" and hip hop "Army" routines to the Peoria competition.
2011-2012 Varsity Squad is comprised of: Seniors Nikki Krumm (captain), Sara Pritchard (captain), Grace Ahern, Gracie Bohl, Abby Cauble, Elise Eidson, Kelly Hackendahl, and Annie Kondraske; Juniors Alissa Malec, Gabby Vondrak, and Bella Westphal; and Sophomores Bethany Chang, Sarah Krumm, Cat Rudwall, and Camryn Schmidt.
