Angry Man Yells, Spits At Gym Employees: Police

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 54-year-old Libertyville man faces a disorderly conduct charge after he became upset with employees at XSport Fitness and yelled and spit at them, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. Thomas Ristick, of the 300 block of West Lincoln Avenue, was arrested at about 4 p.m. on Nov. 15 following the incident at the local gym.

Authorities say they were called to XSport Fitness, 1163 S. Milwaukee Avenue, for a report of a man who became irate after initially visiting the facility to inquire about a membership. He began a tour but then abruptly walked out during it. He returned a short while later and became upset with staff members who'd started assisting a different customer, according to the police report.

He yelled at them and spit at them before leaving the business, walking to his vehicle and driving away. Police found Ristick and his vehicle at his home and he was taken to the Libertyville Police Department where he was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct.

Ristick was released after signing a personal recognizance bond.
