Are You Registered to Vote? Don't recall if you are registered to vote? Lake County, Illinois residents can easily check their voter regist

Lake County Center for Independent Living in Mundelein has a mission to empower people with disabilities to lead self-directed lives as values members of the community. Part of the way we do that is through our Get Out the Vote Committee to educate people with disabilities about the voting process, their voting rights, and registering them to vote.
Any registered voter in Lake County may choose to vote early starting 15 days before the traditional Election Day. Early voting in Lake County is now open.
· Early voting ends the Sunday before Election Day.

· Each voter has a convenient local site available for early voting.
· Each household with registered voters receives a postcard prior to the election listing early voting and Election Day sites for the addressee.

· Beginning approximately 40 days before each election, you can confirm your voting site for both early voting and Election Day at https://countyclerk.lakecountyil.gov/ElectionInfo/Voter-Services/Pages/Voter-Power.aspx.
You may view a picture of the building, see a map and view driving directions to your site. Also, view a sample of your official ballot on-line approximately 40 days before each election.
Prepare to vote by viewing a sample ballot to see what candidates and issues are up for election. Research candidates and issues on the Internet. Call candidates at their local offices and ask how they stand on issues of importance to you.
And don’t forget to vote on or before November 4!
Remember, not voting means someone else decides for you.
