Coroner IDs Man Killed in McHenry Co. Crash
Mark A. Ofenloch died following the single-vehicle crash in Hebron on Saturday.

HEBRON, IL - A 29-year-old Gurnee man killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in McHenry County has been identified as Mark A. Ofenloch.
The crash happened on U.S. Route 173 and Price Road in the village of Hebron at 1:59 p.m., according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. A 2002 Mercury Villager, driven by Ofenloch, was heading east on Route 173 when it left the roadway to the south, struck a tree and caught fire.
Ofenloch was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. An autopsy on Monday revealed Ofenloch died of blunt force trauma to the head, spine, chest and abdomen.

"Certain scientific identification was made the following day," McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski said in a news release.
Due to damage to the vehicle, it was not readily apparent if airbags deployed or if the driver had his seatbelt on at the time of the crash, authorities said. It is also unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
