Driver Approaches Student, 'Makes Sexual Motion'

Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver following the Wednesday incident in Zion.

ZION, IL — Authorities in Zion are looking for a man who allegedly drove his car up to a student who was walking to school Wednesday morning, attempted to talk to the student and then made a "sexual motion," according to police. The Central Middle School Student was walking in the area of Salem Foods, 2439 Gaililee Ave. in Zion, at the time of the incident.

After the driver made the sexual motion, the student continued to walk away, according to a post on the Zion Police Department Facebook page.

The driver is described as an African-American man in his mid- to early-20s. He has a thin build and was wearing square glasses with thin frames, according to authorities.

The vehicle was a light-colored, four-door Toyota Camry with a dented driver's door, according to the Facebook post. Surveillance cameras were able to capture a photo of the vehicle, which the Zion Police Department shared Thursday on its Facebook page.
