Driver Busted For DUI After Speeding In Libertyville: Police
The Wadsworth man was traveling 26 to 34 mph over the posted limit when Libertyville officers pulled him over, police said.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 38-year-old Wadsworth man who was driving drunk on a suspended license was traveling 26 miles per hour over the posted speed limit in Libertyville when officers pulled him over, police said. Anthony Ash, of the 40000 block of Goldenrd Lane in Wadsworth, now faces driving while license suspended, failure to signal when required, speeding 26 to 35 over and driving under the influence charges, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.
Police initially spotted Ash's vehicle at about 1 a.m. on Sept. 26 speeding in the area of North Butterfield Road near Ridgewood Avenue where the speed limit is listed as 40 mph. At the time, the vehicle was clocked going 66 mph, Sgt. Jason Kapusinski told Patch in an e-mail response.
The officer followed the sports utility vehicle, noticing other violations during that time, and pulled the SUV over in the area of N. Butterfield Road and Old Barn Circle.

Ash was arrested after showing signs of impairment and failing field sobriety tests, police said. He was taken into custody and released after signing a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
He is next expected in court on Oct. 30.
