Driver Injured After Jeep Collides With Brick Wall: Police
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Beach Park.
BEACH PARK, IL -- A 45-year-old Waukegan woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Beach Park, police said. The woman was driving a 2014 Jeep Patriot south on Sherian Road, just north of Beach Road, when the vehicle went off the roadway, struck a curb, light-standard control box and brick wall.
The Jeep then rolled over, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
The driver was extricated from the Jeep by Beach Park Fire/Rescue and transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with life-threatening injuries.
