Drunk Man Arrested After Throwing Snowball at Car: Police
Libertyville police say the ice-snow chunk caused damage to the car.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL – A drunk man was arrested after he allegedly threw a piece of icy snow at a vehicle during the early morning hours of April 28 in Libertyville, police said. Brian P. Finegan, of the 800 block of Paddock Lane in Libertyville, was charged with public intoxication, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer in connection with the April 28 incident. Authorities said they were called to the intersection of Valley Park Drive and Milwaukee Avenue after receiving the report of a snowball thrown by a pedestrian standing on the corner at about 12 a.m.
The ice-covered snowball hit the vehicle and caused minor damage, according to a Libertyville police report.
When they responded to the intersection, they found Finegan who was extremely intoxicated and uncooperative. After trying repeatedly to get Finegan to cooperate, he was arrested. He was taken to the Libertyville Police Department where he was cited, processed and released on a $120 personal recognizance bond.

The victim decided not to pursue charges for the damage to his vehicle, but indicated he would submit a bill for the repairs so that the court may issue a restitution order, according to the police report.
