Drunken Driving, Stolen Car: Libertyville Police Blotter

The Libertyville Police Department responded to the following reports in recent days.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Libertyville Police Department made the following arrests in recent days:

  • Authorities arrested Paige Seimion, 38, and charged her with driving under the influence and driving under the influence BAC .08 after she was pulled over in the area of South Milwaukee Avenue and Artaius Parkway in Libertyville at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 5. Officers say Seimion, of the 700 block of Court of Spruce in Vernon Hills, failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, transported to the Libertyville Police Department. Seimion was released after posting her driver's license and signing a personal recognizance bond. She is next expected in court on Sept. 25.
  • A 55-year-old Libertyville man faces drunken driving charges after an officer pulled him over in the area of Briarwood Lane and Greentree Parkway just before midnight on Sept. 9 for a driver's licensing violation, according to the police report. The driver, William Betlach, of the 800 block of Garfield Avenue, failed field sobriety tests, according to police. Betlach was transported to the Lake County jail on a $7,500 bond and is charged with driving under the influence, aggravated driving under the influence and aggravated driving while license revoked.
  • A 29-year-old Round Lake Beach woman was taken into custody after being pulled over by Libertyville Police Department officers in the area of Butterfield Road and Victory Drive at 12:18 a.m. on Aug. 29, according to a police report. Priscilla Uriostegui, of the 400 block of Meadowgreen Lane in Round Lake Beach, was arrested on a warrant from the Wheeling Police Department for failure to appear in court. She was unable to post the required $2,500 bond and was released into the custody of the Wheeling Police Department.
  • Early on Aug. 31, two Libertyville residents made burglary to motor vehicle reports to the Libertyville Police Department while one person reported a vehicle was stolen from his driveway. The burglaries to motor vehicles occurred in the 200 block of East Church Street and the 300 block of Grant Court. In the East Church Street incident, the vehicle owner told police a person went into her unlocked vehicle in the parking lot at some point overnight and took personal property. In the Grant Court incident, a person entered a vehicle parked in a driveway but the vehicle owner said it did not appear that anything was missing. Also on the morning of Aug. 31, a resident living in the 400 block of Burdick Street told police his vehicle, a black Honda Passport, had been stolen from his driveway sometime during the overnight hours. Video surveillance from the area shows a subject at a neighboring residence looking into vehicles parked in the driveway shortly after 4 a.m.
