MainStreet Libertyville's Twilight Shuffle 5K Run Celebrates 5 Years

 This popular family event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 6pm with the start/finish on Newberry in downtown Libertyville.  Whether you are an elite, recreational, first-time racer or a family interested in exercise, all are welcome.  Each year this race gains popularity – the last two years participants numbered over 1000!  This race has become one of the top evening 5K races in northern Illinois.  The professionally chip-timed and challenging course winds through the picturesque east side of downtown Libertyville where the streets are lined with neighborhood spectators.    Registration before August 26 is $30 for adults and $20 for children; after that date it is $40/$25.  Participants must be 9 years old at the time of the race. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, goody bags and a post-race party at Mickey Finn’s where runners and their families can enjoy dinner and rehydration.
