Family Member Threatened With Knife In Domestic: Police
The Libertyville Police Department is investigating the incident, which occurred Saturday morning.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — No one was injured in a domestic disturbance Saturday morning in Libertyville where a person threatened a family member with a knife, authorities said. The Libertyville Police Department responded to the home in the 100 block of West Lincoln Avenue at 8:43 a.m. on Dec. 12 where they found the armed person still inside the residence.
The family member who was threatened was able to safely flee the home, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.
Officers set up a perimeter around the home. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the armed person, the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System, Emergency Services Team (NIPAS EST) arrived at the home.

Members of the SWAT team were able to talk with the armed person, who was taken into custody without incident shortly before 12:00 p.m. and transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center.
