Fire Behavior and Using Extinguishers

Learn how to protect your home by preventing fire.

Personnel from Countryside Fire Protection District will demonstrate how household items cause fires and how the fire triangle is connected to everyday life. The presentation reinforces the proper use of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and discusses heat sources in your home, and burn prevention. Class includes hands-on fire extinguisher training. Tuition: $5. Class meets 7:00–9:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, at Vernon Hills High School. Registration is required.
