FREE! Instrument Petting Zoo, ‘Baby Song’ Classes
The David Adler Music and Arts Center is growing!
Babies, toddlers, and pre-school kids have a new place to play, meet friends, and explore music with their caregivers.
Prelude Program Classes: The Adler Center’s Prelude Program features drop-in demonstration classes where ages 0 – 5 can play instruments, sing songs, learn new lullabies, and enjoy making music with new friends. Build important social/emotional and language skills while inspiring a lifelong love of music in your little one. Register for a demonstration class today—all demonstration classes are free!

Baroque to Baby Concerts: Baby-friendly concerts at the beautiful Adler Center are designed to give little ones and their grown-ups a chance to get out of the house and move to the music! Share the joy of music with your child, and make new friends. Audience members are encouraged to relax, feed, dance, cry, and play as the music moves you.

Meet the Strings: Hear it, see it, feel it, and listen to an expert play it! Bring the family along for an instrument petting zoo. Meet the violin, viola, cello, guitar, and ukulele and hear what makes each one unique.
- Thursday, September 21 from 6:30 – 7:15pm
Suzuki FUNdamentals Class: Very young musicians, ages 3 -6, may also register for Suzuki FUNdamentals, a nurturing and warm violin class based on the Suzuki philosophy that all children should be able to learn music in an encouraging and positive environment. Begin Suzuki lessons in a small group setting (4-6 students). Upon completion of the class, students are ready to advance to private lessons. Parents attend classes and supervise home practice. Fridays, from 3:30 – 4:15pm.

Its year-round activities are designed to foster engagement and achievement in the arts for the people of Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
