Getting Your Yard and Garden Ready for Fall

What you do this fall will affect your garden in the spring.

The growing season is winding down, but there is still a lot to do in the garden! Harvesting seeds, dividing perennials, mulching, planting bulbs, cutting back, preparing your soil for next year, caring for your garden tools–these are just a few of the tasks to handle for fall. We will go through the list of items to make your garden and plants ready for winter...plus give you a head start on spring! Gold Card Fee: $12.50. Tuition: $25. Class meets 7:00–9:00 PM on Thursday September 24 at Libertyville High School. Registration is required. Register online through District 128’s Community Education Department at www.ComEd128.org, or call 847-247-4576 to register by phone.
