Child Hurt After SUV Drives Into Mundelein Day Care
A man was dropping his child off at the day care when his car jumped the curb and plowed through the window.

MUNDELEIN, IL — A child was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center Wednesday morning after an SUV drove through the glass wall of Mundelein day care and martial arts complex, hitting the girl.
Pioneer Press reported a man was dropping off his child at the 2045 S. Lake St. day care center (pictured) when his SUV jumped the curb and drove 10 to 15 feet inside the building, according to Mundelein Deputy Fire Chief Darren Brents.
Brents said the girl was conscious and alert when they took her to Condell for an evaluation, as the incident caused a laceration to her head, according to Pioneer Press, which described the girl as an 8-year-old.
