Green Oaks Man Charged With Battery In Libertyville Altercation
A Green Oaks man has been charged with battery after police responded to a report that a woman had suffered a head injury in an altercation.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL – A Green Oaks man has been charged with battery after police responded to a report that a woman had suffered a head injury in an altercation.
On May 8 around 1:45 p.m., Libertyville Police officers responded to the 1100 block of Hunters Lane. A woman reported to police she was at a gathering in the area and had attempted to intervene in a physical altercation between Alvin Hemphill, 19 of Green Oaks, and another woman.
The woman reported she was hit by Hemphill, who then left the scene. She was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center for treatment of a head injury.

Hemphill was located and arrested in Waukegan and transported to the Libertyville Police Department. He has been charged with battery and released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond. A court date has been set for July 17.
