Authorities ID Gurnee Woman Killed In Moped Accident
An SUV allegedly failed to stop for stop sign, colliding with the moped in Door County, Wis. A suburban woman driving the moped was killed.

GURNEE, IL – A 57-year-old Gurnee woman was killed Wednesday night when a moped she was driving in Door County, Wis., collided with a sports utility vehicle, authorities said. The collision occurred at about 7:49 p.m. at the intersection of Mathey Road and West Whitefish Bay Road in the township of Sevastopol. A preliminary investigation shows the SUV, which was driven by a 17-year-old boy, did not stop for a stop sign and struck the passenger side of the moped, according to a news release from the Door County Sheriff's Office.
The 57-year-old Gurnee woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. She has been identified as Suzanne Lindsay of Gurnee, according to a news release. The driver of the SUV has been identified as Maxwell Krohn of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
