Alcohol is a suspected factor in the collision, which occurred early Saturday.

BEACH PARK, IL — A home in Beach Park is uninhabitable after a teen allegedly drove drunk and crashed into the residence early Saturday. Police were called to a home in the 10000 block of West Yorkhouse Road in Beach Park at about 1 a.m. for the traffic crash. A preliminary investigation shows a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, driven by a 19-year-old Waukegan woman, was traveling east on Yorkhouse Road in the area of Geraghty Street when the Chrysler left the roadway and crashed into an unoccupied home, causing extensive damage.
The home has been deemed uninhabitable due to the damage caused by the crash.
The driver was able to walk away from the car and go to a nearby home to get help, according to a news release. She was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
