Lake County Clerk To Offer Poll Watcher Training, Credentials

The credentials are available for qualified political organizations who are planning to observe the Nov. 6 election.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Clerk's Office in Waukegan is offering poll watcher credentials to qualified political organizations. In order to watch any voting site, the groups are required to have credentials from either the county clerk's office or the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Qualified organizations include established political parties, civic organizations, candidates and chairmen of the proponent or opponent group of a public question.

Training on the limitations and rights of poll watchers will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m. on the sixth floor conference room E at the Lake County Courthouse, 18 N. County St.
