Libertyville Apartment Project Near Metra Station Moves Toward Final Approval

Libertyville trustees will vote on the proposed four-story, 91-unit building Tuesday night.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville officials are nearing the final approvals needed for a proposed four-story, 91-unit apartment building near the downtown Metra station.

The $40 million development would replace several existing buildings on the Suydam property along Milwaukee Avenue and Lake Street, which are slated for demolition, according to the Daily Herald. Plans also include a new road providing access to the apartments and the nearby Metra station.

If trustees accept the plan commission’s recommendation during a meeting on Tuesday, formal ordinances allowing construction will be prepared for a future village board vote, according to the article.
