'Yarnstorm' Coming To Downtown Libertyville In March

Libertyville celebrates March with a downtown Yarnstorm, student art exhibitions, concerts, and student musicians.

The Libertyville community is invited to help cover downtown Libertyville in colorful knitted squares on Saturday, February 24 at 12pm. Join knitters and crocheters as they work to decorate trees, railings, and benches along Milwaukee Avenue with brightly colored creations to mark the beginning of Fine Arts Month in the Village of Libertyville.

The David Adler Music and Art Center is pleased to partner with Wrapped in Art--Libertyville for this event, and has hosted weekly knitting and crocheting groups throughout the winter. Over 100 people have participated in this community art project.

No experience is needed to help decorate on “Coloring Day.” All ages are welcome, and participants should meet in Cook Park at 12pm. The installation will remain up throughout March, to celebrate National Youth Art Month, and Fine Arts Month in the Village of Libertyville.
