Libertyville Coronavirus Updates: D70 Employee Tests Positive

The staff member went into elementary school buildings throughout District 70 and reportedly tested positive this past week.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville Elementary District 70 Superintendent Matt Barbini said more presumed positive or positive test results are expected after the school district learned an employee, whose job brought them into every building in the district, had contracted the new coronavirus, the Daily Herald is reporting. The employee developed symptoms on March 21 after schools had closed on March 13.

The staff member was unable to be tested for the virus until March 17 due to the lack of available testing kids, according to the Daily Herald.
