Libertyville Police Find 6 Pounds Of Pot In Car
A $250,000 bail has been set for Irving E. Galvez-Ruiz following his arrest on Oct. 15 in Libertyville.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville police arrested a 28-year-old man after finding six pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop earlier this month.
Irving E. Galvez-Ruiz, of Colima, Mexico, faces unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful delivery of cannibis charges following his Oct. 15 arrest in Libertyville, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. Police say they initially pulled his vehicle over after spotting the car turning west from southbound Dawes Street onto Crane Boulevard at about 10 a.m. but not using a traffic signal.
While talking with Gavlez-Ruiz, they noticed the smell of raw cannabis coming from the car. Officers searched the car and found about six pounds of pot, according to the police report.

Galvez-Ruiz was arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail. His bail has been set at $250,000.
