Libertyville Police Investigate Gas Station Burglaries
Police the two burglaries that occurred on Aug. 1 and Aug. 3 are related.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Libertyville Police Department is investigating two burglary reports following break-ins at gas stations in town earlier this month.
Police say the burglaries occurred at the Shell Gas Station, 540 Peterson Road, on Aug. 1 and at the BP Gas Station, 114 Peterson Road, on Aug. 3. During the Shell burglary, a person, who has not been identified, entered the gas station after breaking a window at about 3 a.m. and stole several items.
The same thing happened at about 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 3 at the BP station: an unidentified person broke a glass window and stole items.

Both incidents appear to be related and are under investigation by the Libertyville Police Department.
