Longtime Libertyville Firefighter Retires
Libertyville Fire Department Assistant Chief Ken Komers spent 30 years with the local fire department before recently retiring.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A long-time Libetyville firefighters has retired. Libertyville Fire Department Assistant Chief Ken Komers recently had his last day of work with the local fire department, according to a post on the Libertyville Fire Department Facebook page.
He worked for the fire department for 30 years, according to the Facebook post.
"As he completes his last day with us, we are forever grateful for his dedicated service," fire officials wrote in the post. "Thank you Chief for all you have done to keep the LFD successful."
