Man Arrested For Battery After Fight At Libertyville Bar
A 46-year-old Beach Park man was taken into custody in connection with the fight, which broke out on Aug. 13 at Downing's Bar.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 46-year-old Beach Park man faces a battery charge following a fight that broke out at Downing's Bar in Libertyville earlier this month.
Jack Papandreou, of the 38000 block of N. New York Avenue, was arrested during the early morning hours of Aug. 13 after authorities were called to the bar, at 431 S. Milwaukee Avenue, for a report of a fight in progress.
Officers arrived and found several people involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. Officers separated them and began investigating the incident before taking Papandreou into custody.

Papandreou was processed and cited on a battery charge and later released from custody after posting his driver’s license as bond and signing a $164 personal recognizance bond, according to authorities.
He is next expected in court on Sept. 14.
