Man Being Robbed Pulls Gun On Robber, Shoots Him: Police
The victim planned to sell the accused robber an item he'd posted on the "Let Go" app, police said.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 30-year-old Gurnee man with a concealed carry permit pulled a gun on a Waukegan man who attempted to rob him Thursday afternoon and ended up shooting him in the leg, police said. The Gurnee man met up with Lawrence Dye, 20, of Waukegan, with the purpose of selling him an item. The two connected through the "Let Go" app, according to a news release.
During the scheduled meet up, Dye, who was accompanied by another man, pulled out a handgun and attempted to steal the item the Gurnee man had planned to sell to Dye, police said. The Gurnee man then pulled out his own handgun and fired three rounds, shooting Dye in the leg.
The handgun was recovered at the scene in the area of Fulton Street and 9th Avenue in Waukegan after police were called at about 1 p.m.
