Man Driving 72 MPH on Milwaukee Ave. Cited for DUI: Police

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – A Round Lake man faces a DUI and speeding charges after officers clocked him going 72 miles per hour on Miwaukee Avenue in Libertyville last weekend, authorities said. James C. Graf, of the 0 to 100 block of West Chatham Lane, was pulled over in the 100 block of Peterson Road at 1:48 a.m. on May 17. Graf, who allegedly showed signs of impairment, was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to a Libertyville police report.

While he was being taken into custody, police found an item of drug paraphernalia in his pocket, according to police.

He was taken to the Libertyville Police Department and was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with blood concentration over the statutory limit, speeding and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Graf is next expected in court on June 7.
