Man Headbutts Man at Libertyville Bar: Police

LAKE COUNTY, IL -- A 23-year-old Wauconda man has been arrested for knocking a fellow bar patron to the ground and then head-butting him, authorities said. Quinten T. Sefcik, of the 700 block of Saddlewood Drive in Wauconda, was taken into custody at about 12:48 a.m. Saturday at O’Toole’s, 412 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. Sefcik has been charged with battery in connection with the incident.

Police said they were called to the bar early Saturday for a report of a person in need of medical attention. That person told police he’d been knocked to the ground by a “large male” and, when he got up, the man head-butted him, knocking him down again, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.

Sefcik was processed and released after signing a $120 personal recognizance bond. He is next expected in court on Feb. 13.
