Man Steals Dunkin' Customers Cash, Flees: Police
The man took a $20 bill that was dropped by a customer and then fled on foot, according to police. The 20-year-old man was later arrested.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A Zion man faces a theft charge after he snatched a $20 bill dropped by another person at a Libertville business last month and then fled on foot, police said. The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. on Jan. 15 at Dunkin' Donuts, 121 N. Milwaukee Avenue, according to a Libertville Police Department report.
An employee told police he saw the man take the cash after a customer dropped it. Police searched the surrounding area and found Jamaree T. Payne, 20, who they took into custody in connection with the theft, according to the police report.
Payne was released on a personal recognizance bond. He is next expected in court on Wednesday.
