Man Tried To Steal Car Parts From Dealership: Police
Authorities say the man tried to lift a car up on a jack at Libertyville Toyota last month and take the car parts.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 24-year-old Des Plaines faces a theft charge for allegations he tried to lift a vehicle up on a jack at a car dealership and then steal vehicle parts from underneath the vehicle, authorities said.
Officers responded to Libertyville Toyota, 1180 S. Milwaukee Avenue, for a report of a suspicious person inside the business just before 3 a.m. on Aug. 19, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.
Authorities took Juan Moran Ayala, 24, of the 2900 block of Curtis in Des Plaines, into custody in connection with the incident.

He was taken to the police department where he received a citation and was released on a personal recognizance bond, according to the police report.
