Meet the Chromebook

This class will introduce you to the Chromebook that District 128 students are using this year.

Whether you’re considering a mobile device purchase for the home/office or you’re the parent of a student using Chromebooks at school, come and take a Chromebook for a test drive to see what they’re all about! There are many ways one could define “Chromebook”, but essentially it’s a small, wireless laptop that only runs Google’s Chrome operating system. It starts up almost as quickly as an iPad, has a built-in keyboard, and comes in several different models, most of which fall into a pretty attractive price range. Come and get your hands on a Chromebook, hear about some different models, and learn more about what you can do with these devices. Gold Card Fee: $9.50. Tuition: $19. Class meets 6:30–8:30 PM on Wednesday, September 30, at Libertyville High School. Registration is required. Register online through District 128’s Community Education Department at www.ComEd128.org, or call 847-247-4576 to register by phone.
