Neighbors to a proposed $25 million industrial redevelopment on Libertyville’s south side are up in arms over a request by the developer to nix a restriction on overnight truck traffic, according to the Daily Herald.
During the approval process for the industrial redevelopment, neighbors west of the industrial area at 851-901 E. Park Ave. bargained with Bridge Development Partners LLC and rallied for restrictions that prohibited truck deliveries or idling trucks between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., according to the article.

Those restrictions, the developer said, is preventing proposed tenants, such as Frito-Lay North America Inc., from attracting businesses, the newspaper reports.
“A deal’s a deal. All sides worked very hard last time around,” said Dale Sherman, who lives nearby, told Daily Herald. “We reached a compromise with restrictions.”
