Police Officer, 2 Others Injured In Mundelein Crash
The two-vehicle collision occurred on Route 83 near Route 60 Friday morning.

MUNDELEIN, IL – A police officer and two others were injured in a two-vehicle car crash Friday morning in Mundelein, police told the Daily Herald. The collision occurred just before 7 a.m. Friday when a man driving south on Route 83 proceeded through a yellow traffic light while trying to turn east onto Route 60 and was hit by an oncoming Chevy Tahoe patrol vehicle. The Riverwoods police officer was on duty at the time, and had a female occupant in the vehicle, but was not responding to an emergency, according to the Daily Herald.
All three people involved in the crash were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to the Daily Herald.
